Happy Halloween!

Its almost over, but here are some pumpkins I carved this year. 

I don't have the best camera so the pictures aren't the best! :)

Here is another color study. I am really trying to get used thinking about color schemes before I start painting and using traditional media forces me to do so. When I start painting in Photoshop I usually tend to wing it and try to fix the colors later.

I also wanted to mention the awesome Kickstarter project that Cedric Hohnstadt is working on. Only 15 hrs. left!! I can't wait for the book to come out.

Here is quick update of some sketches that have been on my desktop forever and a recent painting experiment. I have been working on my portfolio for the last few months and between that and my internship I haven't had much time or energy to post.

Here is a color comp I did before I painted the acrylic painting in the last post.

I eventually changed the composition, but I found that doing color comps in photoshop before I did the painting traditionally was very helpful.

5 month sabbatical

I recently showed some work at Dreamwork's Student gallery show and I decided to post the images I presented.

Roughly five months and no post is pretty lame but schools almost over and I hope to post more often soon! :)

time sure flies...

I'm pretty bad at organizing my time efficiently so I've had to abandon my blog. I've been doing a lot of work at my internship, which is awesome.... I wish I could show what I've been doing, but unfortunately can't.  School has also been great and its finals week! Here an assignment I finished up recently, I hope you enjoy!
